Orthodox Easter

Orthodox Easter (Pascha) celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Julian calendar reckoning, so it usually falls one to five weeks after Western Easter. The most important feast of the Orthodox Church, it is celebrated with midnight liturgies, candlelight processions, red-dyed eggs and festive family meals.
